The Southland Arts Trail is Back
The 2024 Southland Arts Trail Guide, available from mid-September, will be your key to navigating this artistic journey. You can pick one up at Whare Taupua, or find printed guides at local cafés, galleries, libraries, and i-SITES across Southland and beyond.
Get ready to discover something new around every corner!
- Weekend One: October 12 & 13
for Artists, Guilds + Galleries in Waihōpai, Bluff, Aparima, Tuatapere, Winton, Riverton, and Ōrepuki.
- Weekend Two: October 19 & 20
for Artists, Guilds + Galleries in Gore, Riversdale, Waikaia, Lumsden, and Tapanui, and Te Anau.
Design your own trail of discovery during this year’s Southland Arts Trail. We know Southland has a lot of green space so this year’s trail is split across two location-based weekends.
Visitors can expect a diverse array of artists this year, eager to share their passion and love of art with you. Added to the mix will be cafés, galleries, guilds + music.
The Southland Arts Trail 2024 proudly features over 60 artists showcasing their work in studios and shared spaces across the region.
We’re also excited to be hosting artists at Whare Taupua during the trail. The trail is a self-guided journey of discovery—an experience to enjoy with family and friends. Whether you choose to explore for one weekend or both, there’s something for everyone to discover along the way.
