Hi – I’m Mel McKenzie, AKA The Penny Drops. My art is called bokeh: it’s all soft and blurry, like an out-of-focus photo. I paint places you’ll probably know, focusing (or unfocussing as the case may be!) on iconic locations around Southland – though it might take a moment for the penny to drop… My art is available online, at galleries and stores such as See Ya Peter (Invercargill), Gallery De Novo (Dunedin) and Inc. Design Store (Oamaru) and I love visitors to my Studio on our farm at Seaward Downs – just get in touch to arrange a time to suit.
