Louise makes felted scarves, upcycled and flower petal bead jewellery, paintings and is a registered practitioner in Aura-Soma Colour Therapy. All art, products and colour therapy consultations are held at Hanan Gallery, a relaxing space which it upstairs at 130 Dee St above Art Supplies Southland. Local Heritage Hanan Gallery is the former site of The Temple of Arts Science established by James Hanan in 1878. A display about Hanan is at the gallery along with copies of his art work one of his original paintings. He wanted his Temple to be a place of self instruction and learning on the most valuable branches of knowledge. Visitors were lectured on geology, mineralogy, anatomy and astronomy. Hanan’s diagrams and specimens and other artists work were used as teaching aids in his lectures. Copies of his lecture notes are available.
