Amplify Arts Expo 2021 – Southland

Calling all artists and arts organisations

Arts Murihiku is calling for artists and arts organisations to take part in its new AMplify Arts Expo on Saturday 8 May.

All artforms will be represented at the Expo, and it’s free to take part.

Arts Murihiku Chairman Paul Duffy said AMplify would literally amplify the voice of Southland artists and art organisation and would be an opportunity for the general public to engage with the arts in one location.

“We have such incredible talent in Southland and this event will show the breadth of arts activity from all over the region.”

For artists there will be exhibition space and an opportunity to sell work, as well as a performance space for musicians and dancers.

In addition, there will be performances and talks by guest artists, and arts organisations can book a display stand to promote what they do and potentially gain more members.

“It’s a rare opportunity for the whole arts community to get together and a great opportunity for promotion.”

“We’ve signed up some exciting artists to take part and we will be announcing them over the coming weeks.”

To take part, register your interest here or email kiaora@artsmurihiku.co.nz. Registrations close 30 April.

Arts Murihiku supports and promotes Southland artists and arts organisations and is Funded by Creative New Zealand.
