Southland Education is dedicated to advancing, encouraging, and providing ongoing community education that fosters a just and equitable society, in alignment with the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi. Our organization offers a broad range of community classes, catering to diverse interests and skill levels. Whether it’s visual arts, languages, yoga, photography, or lead lighting, there’s something for everyone in our vibrant program. Our space is also home to several community groups that regularly gather to share knowledge and creativity.
Recent additions to our offerings include Printworx, Arty Allsorts, where creatives come together to share ideas and inspiration. In addition, we proudly host the annual Southerly Art School over King’s Birthday weekend, providing an intensive and inspiring experience for participants of all backgrounds. At Southland Education, we are committed to nurturing creativity, supporting community learning, and building connections across the region.
