Kimberley Birchfield
Kimberley is a Southland-based artist whose practice moves between ink, watercolour, and acrylic. Her work spans a wide range of subjects, from the region’s iconic buildings that hold stories of place and community, to the wildlife that brings the landscape to life.
With a keen eye for detail and a deep connection to her surroundings, Kimberley captures both the character and spirit of Southland through her brushstrokes. Each piece is not just a representation but a way of honouring the beauty in everyday scenes and the natural world.
During the Arts Trail, Kimberley will be working and exhibiting from her mini-studio at Whare Taupua, warmly welcoming visitors to explore her art and discover the inspirations behind her practice.
