Kay Ward Artist
Kay Ward is a versatile visual artist who works in oils, acrylics, and mixed media, creating both realistic and abstract works. Her subject matter is wide-ranging — from expressive portraits and serene landscapes to imaginative abstracts and designs inspired by both natural and man-made forms.
Kay enjoys experimenting with different tools and materials, letting each piece evolve as she explores new techniques and ideas. Her ground-floor studio, located in her home, is a creative retreat where works-in-progress can breathe and develop over time.
During the Southland Arts Trail, visitors are warmly invited into Kay’s working space — a place where creativity is always unfolding. She’s happy to chat while she paints, offering a behind-the-scenes look into her process and inspiration.
