Nestled in the lovingly restored Glenaray School, just up the valley from Waikaia, you’ll find Jeanette Ford — a one-woman whirlwind of creativity, curiosity, and good old-fashioned Kiwi ingenuity.
A self-confessed “shed scavenger,” Jeanette breathes new life into old wooden fence droppers, rusty relics, and forgotten bits ‘n’ bobs, transforming them into quirky rustic homewares that are full of character (and a good dose of humour).
No two creations are ever the same — each piece carries its own story, stamped with Jeanette’s imagination and playful spirit. A visit to her studio is part art experience, part treasure hunt, and part good yarn. Come for the craft, stay for the laughs — meeting Jeanette is worth the drive alone!
