After many years of teaching, I have retired to the small town of Nightcaps in Southland, where I now devote much of my time to weaving. Over the years I’ve explored many forms of creative expression, but fibre has become my true passion.
I love working with materials in all their forms and colours – from wool I’ve prepared myself through carding and spinning into textured artyarn, to the silky yarns spun by village women in India, and fibres I’ve gathered along the way. My work ranges from large weavings on metal frames to intricate tapestry wall hangings, each piece celebrating the beauty and versatility of fibre.
