The concept behind this exciting show was born in November 1987 at Muka studio, where Frans and Magda organised an exhibition of original artworks exclusively for people under 18. It was intended as a one off, but due to popular demand the concept was repeated time and again.
Now it has become a New Zealand icon. Frans and Madga are set to travel the country again, giving New Zealand youngsters the occasion to build their personal precious art collection.
Muka Prints showcases original, signed and numbered lithographs. What makes this exhibition truly unique it that the names and signatures of the artists are covered, and only people between the ages of 5 – 18 are allowed entry to see, select and eventually buy a maximum of 3 works.
All works carry the same $75 price tag, and they must be purchased for the young person’s own collection or a school. Frames can be pre-ordered by emailing email@example.com
If you have a young one that fits the brief, we hope you will head along to the Invercargill City Library and Archives on the 27th September and be part of this awesome opportunity.
