Southland Arts Trail 2025

1 & 2 NOVEMBER

Get ready to explore the arts in Southland.

The Southland Arts Trail is Back

This November, the Southland Arts Trail 2025 (SAT25) offers an exciting opportunity to explore the diverse creative talents across the region.

Art lovers are invited to discover the rich creative fabric of Murihiku through visits to artist studios and pop-up exhibitions, spanning towns and rural areas, as well as the unique landscape of Rakiura/Stewart Island.

Get ready to discover something new around every corner!

If you would like to open your studio to the public during the Arts Trail please complete this online form to register your interest.

Are you someone without a studio space of your own?

We’ve got an exciting opportunity just for you!

Arts Murihiku is offering 9 individual artists the chance to be part of the trail by using the Whare for the weekend as your own.

Each artist will be allocated a mini studio-style space to work from and exhibit their art. You’ll need to:

  • Commit to being present both days from 10am – 4pm
  • Have work on display throughout the weekend
  • Be available to talk with visitors about your creative process

This is an ideal opportunity to build visibility, make connections, and be part of a regional celebration of the arts – even if you don’t have your own public studio space.

To express your interest or find out more, contact us at kiaora@artsmurihiku.co.nz. Spaces are limited, so get in quick!
