Myross Bush-based fine art photographer, Julianne Andrews, artwork ‘Alicia’ is one of forty-four portraits in the empowHER series on exhibition at Te Whare Taupua from 6 – 21 September.
Her portraits showcase the unique characteristics possessed by all women; to show them as visible, worthy and empowered. The low-key lighting provides a shadowy darkness from which the subjects emerge, to be seen in their glorious and beautiful form.
You can visit the exhibition at te Whare Taupua, 34 Forth Street, Waihōpai from Friday the 13th of September until Saturday the 21st.
Julianne, who has a Level 6 Diploma in Photography, has been a keen photographer for over twenty years and has an absolute passion for portraiture.
She works from a small home art/photography studio at her farmlet in Myross Bush (just a few minutes north of Invercargill) and runs a photographic business, About-Face.
