I work in clay making mainly outside sculptoral pieces. I have a fascination with natural materials and organic forms. Based on the rugged coast of the Catlins I draw on the environment from which it was born. Flora are often glistening with thick layers of glaze, Bending themselves to make comparisons of the dampened plant they were studied from. A forty year veteran of pottery, I am aware of my craft, and am constantly testing out new techniques and forms.
